PLACES TO SEE:
Lorient. 20 km. Bustling city with wide boulevards and a vast array of stylish shops, lying on an immense natural harbour protected from the ocean by the Groix island. Famous for its fantastic Celtic festival held every August when all Celtic nations meet for a week of music and celebrations. Not to be missed.
Quimperlé. 20 km. Charming market town situated at the confluence of the Isole and Ellé rivers that combine to form the Laïta river. Its historic quarter is filled with pretty winding cobbled streets and quaint half-timbered houses.
Pontivy. 35 km. Quaint market town with both a Napoleonic and medieval quarter overlooked by its fabulous 15th century moated castle. Situated on the banks of the Nantes to Brest Canal, it has a lovely atmosphere and boasts a large variety of restaurants and bars. Don’t miss the market every Monday morning!
Auray. 45 km. Charming little town with beautiful old quarter with delightful 15th and 16th century houses. Nearby Ste Anne d’Auray is Brittany’s most important place of pilgrimage drawing thousands of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world all year round but especially on July 26th for its “Pardon de Ste Anne” which was attended by Pope John Paul II in 1996.

Pont Scorff Zoo, Pont Scorff. 15 km. Fantastic zoo with plenty to occupy and interest the whole family. Allow the whole day to see the whole park and shows. Not to be missed.
Ty Nadan, Locunolé. 15 km. Tree top adventure park. Kayaking. Climbing. Horse riding. Quad bikes. Paint ball. Needless to say more! Excitement guaranteed. Booking essential.
Golf de Rimaison, Bieuzy les Eaux. 25 km. Golf course. 9 holes Par 35 - 2582m. Situated on the historical site of Rimaison castle, with splendid views over the Blavet valley. The spectacular elevation changes, rolling terrain and beautifully kept greens provide golfers of all levels a challenge they will never forget.
Camors Adventure Forest, Camors. 30 km. Adventure Park/Tree climbing. Set off on an exciting adventure in this hilly, wooded and lakeside setting and try out the monkey, rope and vine bridges high up in the trees. (Adventure course takes 2.5 hours to complete.) Children’s trail with 30 workshops and youth trail with 80 workshops

Isle of Groix. 40 km. Beautiful 8 km-long steep-sided island with gorgeous beaches. Ideal for a day trip and best visited by bike. Boat crossings from Lorient.
Pont Aven. 40 km. Artists’ haunt situated inland from the tip of the Aven estuary. It is a small port popular with tourists and boasting many art galleries. Made famous by Gauguin when he came to paint in the 1880’s before leaving for Tahiti and inspired the Pont Aven school.
Carnac. 60 km. Sought-after and lively seaside resort with excellent sandy beaches. Also renowned for its impressive prehistoric standing stones. A wide range of watersport activities are available as well as a good selection of restaurants and bars.
Concarneau. 55 km. Fishing port with delightful fortified old city. Enjoy a stroll through the small town and don’t miss the famous Kouign Amann, a Breton cake full of butter and sugar. Very naughty but so delicious!
