Location

Situated in Calvados, 35 km south of Caen and 60 km from Bayeux and its famous tapestry. A short drive from the D-day landing beaches et Suisse Normande, famous for its beauty.
Environment : Situated on a working dairy farm, on the edge of the village. A quiet setting with views over the countryside.

PLACES TO VISIT:
Falaise. 15 km. Birth place of William the Conqueror and the centre of in the Battle of Normandy in August 1944.
Caen. 35 km. Although almost completely destroyed in 1944 during WWII, Caen boasts an attractive historic centre. With beautiful abbeys and ramparts, excellent museums and lively pedestrian streets with good shops, it is well-worth a visit.
Beuvron. 45 km. Most delightful village with attractive half timbered buildings and beautiful manor house. Well worth a detour.
Lisieux. 50 km. Main town of the Pays d’Auge with large weekly street markets. Most known as a place of pilgrimage based around the cult of Ste Thérèse, the most popular French spiritual figure of the last hundred years.

Golf de Garcelles, Garcelles Secqueville. 17 km. Golf course. 18 holes Par 70 - 5716m. A diversified and technical course. A real challenge open to all players.
Musée du Chemin de Fer, Clécy. 20 km. Model railway with 430m of track with detailed miniature landscape and lots of moving parts, including a fun fair, rack railway and ringing phone-box. The tour (with written English commentary) includes a ‘son et lumière’ display.
Festyland, Bretteville-sur-Odon . 35 km. Theme park. Amusement park that brings the times of William the Conqueror to the present day. Kids will have lots of fun interacting with Vikings and pirates in more than 30 attractions designed for the whole family including roller coasters, water flumes, magic roundabouts, 180 degree cinema etc.
Le Val des Cîmes, Pont l’Evêque. 70 km. Tree top adventure. Test your nerves and move from tree to tree in complete safety on giant swings, rope nets, high wires and swing bridges etc… 5 different trails suitable for both adults and children (5+).

Cabourg. 55 km. Chic and mythic seaside resort on the estuary of the river Dives, renowned for its 2½ mile long fine sandy beach and its magnificent Belle Epoque atmosphere, made famous by Marcel Proust.
Houlgate. 55 km. Delightfully laid-back seaside resort with a long straight beach lined with beautiful Victorian villas.
Bayeux. 60 km. Attractive town with well-preserved medieval centre and a renowned cathedral. Also famous for its tapestry depicting the story of the conquest of England and King Harold by the Norman William the Conqueror, in the Battle of Hastings. D-Day landings memorial museum.
Arromanches. 70 km. Pleasant and lively seaside resort with plenty of bars and restaurants, famous for the part it played in the D-day landings in June 1944.
