Carnac. 5 km. Sought-after and lively seaside resort with excellent sandy beaches. Also renowned for its impressive prehistoric standing stones. A wide range of watersport activities are available as well as a good selection of restaurants and bars.
Auray. 15 km. Charming little town with beautiful old quarter with delightful 15th and 16th century houses. Nearby Ste Anne d’Auray is Brittany’s most important place of pilgrimage drawing thousands of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world all year round but especially on July 26th for its “Pardon de Ste Anne” which was attended by Pope John Paul II in 1996.
Quiberon. 20 km. Stylish seaside resort with attractive beaches on the rocky peninsula of the same name. The windswept eastern side of the peninsula is popular with watersports enthusiasts whilst the sheltered main beach is lined with a variety of bars, cafes and restaurants. Boat crossings to Belle Ile.
Gulf of Morbihan. 30 km. Inland sea dotted with beautiful and picturesque little islands (one for each day of the year !) offering an exceptional panorama that can be enjoyed by boat or during a walk along the coast.

Golf de Saint-Laurent, Ploemel. 7 km. Golf course. 18 holes Par 72 - 6128m. 9 holes Par 35 - 2705m. In a very pretty pine and oak tree forest, a beautiful course host to many major French events and voted one of the best 40 courses in France.
Aquarium du Golfe, Vannes. 35 km. Aquarium. 50 tanks taking you from the Morbihan Gulf to the Red Sea via the Amazon. A refreshing visit for the whole family.
Jardin aux Papillons, Vannes. 35 km. A fascinating visit to discover hundreds of exotic butterflies which fly freely among luxuriant plants and rare flowers.

FURTHER AFIELD:
Vannes. 35 km. Delightful and lively city with narrow cobbled streets and medieval buildings crammed around its cathedral. Outside the old walled town, the large colourful port shelters many yachts and is the point of departure for scenic boat trips to the Gulf of Morbihan islands.
Belle Ile. 40 km. The largest and most beautiful island in Brittany. Its stunning splendour has inspired many artists: Sarah Bernhardt, Gustave Flaubert, Claude Monet, and many others have fallen under its charms. So will you when you discover its green and undulating countryside and enormous sandy beaches. Well worth a day trip. Best discovered by bike. Boat crossings from Quiberon.
Lorient. 30 km. Bustling city with wide boulevards and a vast array of stylish shops, lying on an immense natural harbour protected from the ocean by the isle of Groix. Famous for its fantastic Celtic festival held every August when all Celtic nations meet for a week of music and celebrations. Not to be missed.
Isle of Groix. 55 km. Beautiful 8 km-long steep-sided island with gorgeous beaches. Ideal for a day trip and best visited by bike. Boat crossings from Lorient.
